Agent Michelle Nuno-Sussarey Transcript I'm Michelle Nuno, I'm a United States Border Patrol Agent. I have been a single mom for about eight years. Well, as far as my kids go, they're excited. They are very proud of their mom, and oftentimes they'd like me to come to school in uniform just so they can show me off to their friends. I enjoy it, so I come to work. I enjoy what I do and I come home and I have stories to tell, and they love hearing them; they love hearing about my day. There are different things you can do in Border Patrol. I chose to be out in the field. I was yery young when I came into the Border Patrol: 21, you know, in a rocky marriage, and I ... I've grown up a lot. I've learned a lot, I've recently taken a position in the External Communications Department, and I'll be working in the community now. The best way I can describe it is that we're like family. We get to know each other so well, we work together so much that we're like family, and we back each other up and we don't have very many secretes from one another just because of that; we spend so much time out here. It's a great job and it pays well and you learn a lot. You learn a lot and you're serving your country, and that to me as an American ... it's very important. My kids are very proud of me. Protected by me, Michelle Nuno, United States Border Patrol.
